Reclaimed

"Reclaimed" is an unfinished animation, using animation techniques seen in motion comics. The story provided shows a reckless driver losing control of his car and swerving off the road, digging the vehicle into a ditch. The inspiration from the theme was the idea of the driver losing control, and potentially losing his car to the wildlife. The animals nearby would then find the car, taking refuge in it, giving it a new purpose.

This was only the intro of the intended story. After the events of the crash, the driver would collapse next to his vehicle, clutching his stomach while he slowly loses consciousness.  The surrounding wildlife would grow curious, slowly approaching the driver and his wrecked car. 

I had two possible paths planned for the story after this moment. 1, an emergency vehicle would arrive and take the driver away, leaving his burned and destroyed car to be reclaimed by the wildlife. A montage would play, plants emerging and critters seeking shelter in the vehicle, through all the seasons. 2, the driver dies, his body left lifeless against the car. Although he would lose his life, he would still provide refuge for wildlife, such as birds and rabbits laying in his lap and seeking shelter under his jacket.

Unfortunately, I did not get to execute these ideas at this time. I had never made an animation before, therefore overestimating abilities. regardless, I'm proud of the result. I managed to create an amazing landscape, and finally got to use the airbrush tool to create glows.
